Global Embarrassment

Foreign policy is essential to success in any presidency, it is the backbone of a country and their success on the global stage and in the history of our country it has been the starting point and foundation for what any presidency would become and thus what a country would become. It is the foreign policy decisions that a president makes that impact the events globally and even domestically and history has shown that to us, time and time again.

Even presidents who made bad foreign policy decisions did not embarrass us on the global stage, until this one. Bush made bad decisions and even lied to get us into the Iraq War and Reagan and even some Democrats made questionable foreign policy choices, but in the grand scheme of things they did not embarrass the people of this country by their words and actions.

Trump does. He does on a daily basis. He thinks the global stage is something to be mocked and we have seen this by his behavior at the G-7 conference and the other events he has “represented” the United States at. He mocks leaders of our allies and makes fun of those who should be respected and by doing so he proves how much of a leader that he is not, not even close.

The things he says show how much he just does not get it. He has joint media press conferences with other world leaders and instead of talking about the important issues with the press and these leaders, he attacks Democrats and the “fake news media” and when he does that he makes a fool of himself and he makes our nation look like a joke and an embarrassment.

This is the exact opposite of what other presidents have done and the world notices this and treats us accordingly. Obama was respected by leaders all over the world because he acted appropriately and was dignified and eloquent in how he spoke and how he behaved, he did not act like a child who did not get his way like Trump does and the global community sees this.

He is a true embarrassment. Not only globally, but nationally he is a joke and the majority of the American people see that he is a joke and that he is far from someone who acts presidential. Globally and nationally he is a joke, but the scary part of him being the global embarrassment is that the consequences are long-lasting in terms of foreign policy and the path to success is harder to attain when the world views us as a failure.

What Trump is doing is ruining any chance for the next president to have any meaningful dialogue with world leaders and get anything done in the future by his current behavior and actions and that is nothing to take lightly.

What he is doing to this country with his criminal actions and calling everything "fake news" and blaming others for the things that HE has done is embarrassing and the world knows it and will judge us on it. Look at his obvious collusion with Russia and his attempted collusion with Ukraine as well as campaign finance fraud, obstruction of justice, profiting off of the presidency and on and on it is obvious that he has committed crimes and embarrasses us on a daily basis and history will judge him on those things.

The disease is Trump and the cure is impeachment. Thankfully it is starting to happen and this global and nation embarrassment must end, now.
