Con Artist President

It is no secret that Donald Trump is a con artist and a fraud. His entire career has been built on scamming people and trying to get the upper hand, so it should come as no surprise that he is running a con job on the American people and that he got elected using these very tactics. It should not come as a surprise that he is the most corrupt president this country has ever seen, and yes, I do mean even more corrupt than Richard Nixon.

I know, I never thought I would hear myself utter those words. That there could be a president or any American politician more corrupt than Nixon, but that is where we are with Trump. The corruption of his administration is so bad that even lifelong Republicans and leaders in the GOP refuse to endorse him for a second term, think about that.

In this chapter I will briefly discuss just how corrupt he is and of course, go into the scandal of the decade, known as Russian interference into our elections and how his campaign colluded with Russia to secure him the 2016 election and thus win the presidency of the United States and the massive cover ups that have taken place since.

Collusion and corruption.

Those two words are the themes of this presidency as much as racism and hate are platforms of his administration. The corruption exists on so many levels that it is difficult to know where to start and the collusion that we are told never took place definitely did take place and so did the massive cover up that happened to deny the collusion that we know existed.

Trump has a long history of corruption dating back to his beginning days as a businessman in NYC and he has taken that corruption to new heights since he became president and it is not only him, but his entire family and those who are associated with him who are corrupt and who help him to cover up the crimes that he commits and this should alarm anyone because the president should never be involved in the shady things that he and his family is involved in or be as corrupt as he is, that should never happen in any country, especially a nation like ours.

His organization has defrauded people and his charity that was set up to help groups like veterans and other vulnerable people had to be disbanded because it consistently misused funds that were supposed to be for the charitable causes it was set up for, but that is not what happened and that is why the courts ruled that the charity could no longer be allowed to operate.

This was not the first time that his Trump Foundation committed fraud, back in the 90s there was suspicion of fraud with the organization although at the time nothing could be proven, however, it showed a pattern that would emerge not only with his foundation, but with his businesses and Trump in general and that pattern would be his unethical and corrupt practices.

Besides the scam that we now know to be his “charity known as the Trump Foundation there are his other corrupt practices and ventures that must be discussed to understand the full spectrum of his corruption. One of those is his Trump University scam that he ran on innocent people who thought they were getting an actual product.

He ran this “university” that gave students the hope that they would be able to do as he did and be successful in the real estate world upon completion, but that is not what happened at all. What they got was just a useless piece of paper and taken to the bank by the biggest con man this country has ever known and if you ask me, that is a travesty.

The students or as they should really be referred to as victims were gullible when they believed that Trump and his other partners at Trump University would help them achieve their dreams and that is not their fault, Trump is a big name in the real estate game so they were right to think that he and the school could be trusted, but they were wrong and the scam netted millions for Trump and his associates.

The scams don’t stop there, not even close. Donald Trump has a history of scam after scam, bad deal after bad deal, and so on. He never pays his bills and owes money to contractors who worked on his properties and employees who have worked under him and even refused to pay for security detail his rallies racked up in Texas and other places throughout his short time in office and while he ran for president.

There are decent rich people who pay their bills and honor their commitments and then there is this guy. Trump never pays his debts and it has been this way since he was just starting out as a young businessman in those early days back in NYC and now as president, he is transferring those bad business practices to our country and putting America in debt.

He doesn’t pay his bills, he cannot manage money which is why he has declared bankruptcy multiple times, and his levels of corruption reach levels that we do not normally see in a president. So, you can see why people are calling him the most corrupt POTUS in American history and that is saying something being that Nixon previously was known as the most corrupt president that we have had in this nation.

Even though not all of what he does and has done is illegal, it still is unethical and unprecedented for a president. For instance, if you go on his Facebook page you will see a store where he sells his products like the Make America Great Again hats and shirts and flags and other products. While this is not illegal for him as president to do this, it certainly is unethical for him to use his position to make a profit and that is certainly what he is doing.

The man is corrupt, so corrupt that his middle name should be scammer as that is what he is without a doubt.

He scams and cons everyone he runs across and he even has done this to the millions of people who support him and it is quite sad that they cannot see that he is doing it because they are blinded by their love for him.

He has continued to act in a corrupt manner as president and to this day his corruption reaches levels we have not seen before and those on his team are no different as they are just as corrupt as he is.

They learn from him as do his kids who also are extremely corrupt in their actions with the businesses that they run as well as in government.

Making money is the one and only objective for Donald Trump and his family and that is not what we need in a president. We need a president who values people over dollars and will put people above their financial interests and ventures and that just is not who this man is nor is it who he wishes to be or has ever wished to be and this is the real problem that we face as a country going forward and one that we must address.

There should be zero corruption in a president and this guy is full of it and so are those who are associated with him. His corruption exists in his organization, his other business ventures, as well as within his presidency and it exists on levels we are not used to seeing in this country or with a leader of a nation who is there to lead by example.

Some of the worst corruption within his administration exists within the usually ethical Department of Education with his unqualified Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos at the helm. DeVos has completely dismantled the good work the Obama administration did to fix the education problems within the system and give our kids a chance at success and her corruption is further proof of just how corrupt this president and those are him are.

Under President Obama, the Department of Education aggressively fought to address issues like student debt and rising costs of education and the for profit higher learning institutions that run these rackets, but with Trump and DeVos running things much of that has been reversed and student debt is rising again and the department is in shambles.

This is just one of many examples of the corruption that exists under this president and how things continue to get worse the longer he remains in office and stays president. We knew that he was corrupt long before he became the president yet those who voted for him ignored the evidence of the cons he ran on people and voted for him anyway, they knew better.

The next issue I will discuss touches on two issues. It shows just how corrupt Donald Trump is, but it also shows the criminal actions of this president and that he will go to any lengths to get what he wants even if it harms the country that he was elected to represent and that issue is his involvement with colluding with our longtime enemy Russia to become president.

Donald Trump loves to say, “No collusion, no obstruction” when the issue comes up about how his campaign worked with the Russians to hack out elections and thus give him the 2016 election, but the evidence shows the opposite, it shows that there was collusion and he did obstruct justice on multiple occasions to throw off investigators and cover up his crimes and the collusion that he so obviously committed during that campaign and election. It does not matter how many times you repeat a lie, if the evidence shows it is a lie like the evidence in this situation clearly does then we must accept reality and call him out on his misleading claims.

Former FBI director Robert Mueller did a thorough investigation into both the Russia collusion and obstruction of justice that Trump committed and said in his report that “If we had been confident that no crime was committed then we would have said so”. That right there shows without a doubt that there was some wrongdoing done by Trump and that he was not fully exonerated like he falsely claims to be.

That is all that comes out of his mouth or it is all that he tweets when the going gets tough for him. He repeats the same tired false slogan of “No collusion, no obstruction” or that he has been fully exonerated, none of which is remotely true or has any basis in reality. The evidence in the Mueller report and Robert Mueller himself said that there were attempts by the president to obstruct justice and that he was never fully exonerated.

What Trump is going off of is the information he is getting from his lapdog and fixer, his attorney general William Barr. He is relying on Barr’s interpretation of the report and his findings that there was no obstruction of justice that took place by Trump and that is simply inaccurate because the Mueller report stated that the president attempted to derail the investigation.

What happened was that Mueller left the decision of obstruction up to the office of the attorney general because of the unwritten rule that we have that a sitting president cannot be indicted for a criminal offense. Mueller knew there were many attempts by Trump to obstruct justice and some of those attempts even took place in the public view, he just had his hands tied.

Barr on the other hand had more discretion in the matter and could have made the call to indict the president and charge him with the crimes that he clearly had committed but chose loyalty over country and that sadly is the case with many in this administration and many of Trump’s defenders, they choose Trump over the good of the nation.
