A Message of HOPE and RESISTANCE

It has been awhile since I have blogged but I have come to the conclusion that it was time to do that again. I used to have a blog by this same name but due to work and school I let it go and did other things to get my political message out there.

However, due to the constant and inhumane political climate we live in with the current administration and nonstop Facebook arguments with his just as inhumane and misinformed supporters I felt my message and time would be better served by blogging instead of arguing with people who will never change or wake up anyway.

So, here we are. I know many know me from my political books and activism and try to silence me and my views but that will not work. We who are the resistance cannot allow the bullies on the other side to keep us from fighting for the ideals of our democracy and what we are about. If we do, Trump and his supporters win.

Here I am. Blogging again and getting the message of hope out there for all to see. I do not blog or write books for fame or fortune. I do those because speaking out is how real change happens in this country and we the American people must use our voice for good and to help lift people up rather than to tear people down and divide them, like Donald Trump does on a daily basis.

The America we live in today is one that is morally, ethically, and spiritually bankrupt. It is a place that holds children in horrifying conditions without proper food, medical care, or even access to simple neccessities like a TOOTHBRUSH. An America that divides people on race and who calls a hero like Colin Kaepernick who protests daily racial injustice a "traitor" yet praises an actual traitor like Trump who sides with dictators over our allies or our own heroic intelligence community. An America where the media is called "fake" and brave transgender troops aren't allowed to serve.

This is not the country I was born in and I know it is not the country our founding fathers envisioned when they founded this nation all those years ago. If this is not the country who love and if that flag no longer makes you a proud American then I encourage you to join me in the resistance and fight against injustice and hatred and bring back that "Yes We Can" and "Hope and Change" message that our great last president fought for.
